05/04/2005: "BATFISH nibble toes"
Above the shipwreck SS Yongala hovers this school of Batfish.
Lynn Roberts had her toes tickled by the fish, probably thinking toes were food. It's a calm day and the ocean in clear.....the dive was a good one, off Cape Bowling Green near Townsville. It's now possible to make a single day trip dive to the wreck, but a long journey from land just the same.
TIP: Avoid (predicted) sea breeze above 15 knots; 5 to 10 knots is good, even less is perfect.
