04/12/2005: "BLACK COD ....Vic Ley"

This large black cod came from the popular Fish Rock dive site in the South West Rocks area. It's capture was documented in my first film Aquarius - People and Wildlife of the Sea. 1970.

Vic Ley is pictured here with this magnificent fish - now a protected species in New South Wales, along with it's cousin - the giant Queensland groper.
