Gold soverigns and a clump of tea token pennies (each dated 1857) found by J. Gillies and photographed for fathom magazine who provided this picture.

The Dunbar had a cargo of 10,000 gold soverigns which remains missing, plus the 121 passengers who perished would have had their own savings aboard.

The ship had left England for Australia, a lengthy voyage, and was lost when it reached Sydney during a big sea. There was a single survivor.
