03/10/2006: "FIRST EAST COAST ADVENTURE:with Ron and Valerie Taylor"

Our first stop was the old jail at Trial Bay it has been closed for decades, nearby is a good spot to dive by hopping in off the rocks.

Lower picture: We errected our tent above a council picnic table. (Impossible to get away with such a deed today).

The new gas stove proves a bit intense for Vic's cooking. Baked beans have stuck to the aluminium.

Valerie and Ron will join us soon. Meanwhile we were on our own.

We lived on fish - occasionally swapping some with local butchers for steaks. This was 1963 and we believed a person had to eat meat at least once every day or they would die!
