04/08/2007: "THE NORTHERN SHALLOWS....... of the Great Barrier Reefs"

As seen through polarizing sunglasses - the dark blue line is where the sandy bottom drops into deeper water.
A crystal ocean here with 120 foot horizontal visibility - warm and pollution free. Beautiful.
On the eastern or 'weather side' of the reef, visibility is mostly to about 200 foot. The Coral Sea touching the Great Barrier Reef(s).
