09/08/2007: "SHIPWRECK SITE ...... Great Detached Reef"
On the reef nearby are a couple of ancient anchors. This would be where the ship was blown onto the Great Detached Reef.
The question is: Is that big lump part of the ship that has become overgrown with live coral?
Being in the surf zone it's not going to be an easy task to ever investigate. I'm betting any effort would be worthwhile.
