Eight editions were published during the first year of release! A ninth the following year then others in 1955, 1956, 1958 and 1961 (when my second-hand edition was purchased by an Australian diver).
It's been a good selling edition for decades. Updated versions have alterations which offer an interesting insight into the author's personality, a potential study for those interested in diving historical trivia.
